Gate is the gateway to success. Gate exam is very important in case of getting into a IIT or getting placed in good company.

So, how it really works?
Gate Exam works on two simple type of questions:
  1. Questions extract how much BASIC Knowledge you have.
  1. How you approach to a question analytically.

Gate preparation strategy, to follow during the exam is:

Gate 2018 exam is a computer based online exam. Gate 2018 exam duration is of 3 hours(180 minutes).
There are 3 section of Gate question paper. General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics and Subject specific.
General aptitude: General aptitude is important section of the Gate exam which consist of 15 marks and securing these marks is simple. So save time for preparing for general aptitude.
Mathematics is one more important subject that can secure you more 15 marks. Mathematics questions are based on direct formula based question so it is easy.
Now coming to technical/ steam related section, which consists of 70% of marks. You need to focus on the the most important concepts first.
Practice the numerical question again and again work on the important theoretical parts and done.
